UP LAKAN is a provincial, socio-civic, non-stock, non-profit, and non-partisan organization of University of the Philippines students from Bulacan. The organization continues to fulfill their vision of seeing Bulacan citizens united towards progress, they help the province by providing service, promoting culture, upholding academic excellence, strengthening relationships, and encouraging the value of volunteerism.
To celebrate the Bulakenyo way of camaraderie and hospitality, UP LAKAN jumpstarts the academic year with “HALAKHAKAN: The UP LAKAN Acquaintance Party 2018.” This is a night full of performances, inspirational talks, fun games, and a huge celebration of the Bulakenyo culture. The Acquaintance Party 2018 is a festive event welcome and introduce fellow Bulakenyos to UP LAKAN and to the university as well. The party is also the organization’s way of pre-recruiting incoming applicants and most importantly, a simple step towards creating, expanding, and strengthening the Bulakenyong Iskolar ng Bayan community in the University of the Philippines Diliman.
With these, they are inviting all of their fellow Bulakenyos to spend a night of fun and laughter with them on August 23, 2018. It will be held at PH 400 at 5:45 pm.
