The 3-time Outstanding Arts and Letters-Based Organization in UP Diliman, ASTERISK*, invites you to attend their annual cultural night — kultnight.

UP ASTERISK or Asosasyon ng Kabataang Artista, Kritiko, at Iskolar ng Sining at Kultura – Unibersidad ng Pilipinas is one of the most accomplished academic organizations in the College of Arts and Letters in UP Diliman. The organization is comprised of students who are dedicated in bringing culture and the arts to a broader audience through production, scholarship, and appreciation. In the past years, ASTERISK have achieved their goals through regular activities like KwenKap (Kwentuhan at Kapihan), Workshop, Freelikula, and Sining Series, among others.

UP ASTERISK has been successful in holding cultural nights every semester since its inception in 2006. On March 1, they will be having a 7th anniversary party at Conspiracy Garden Cafe entitled Nananaginip Nang Gising. Aspirational as the title sounds, this is how they express collective ambition to step out of their comfort zone and establish a presence outside the cultural barrier of the University.

The event, which is slated to commence at 6:00PM, will be headlined by up-and-coming independent musicians such as The Strangeness, Plagpul, Romcom, and BLKD of Fliptop, et. al. There will also be a live art performance by street art group Gerilya.
