Uncle Tetsu SM Mall of Asia: Design Your Own Japanese Cheesecake

When in Manila, you can now enjoy the fluffy and soft Japanese Cheesecake from Uncle Tetsu at its recently opened store in SM Mall of Asia.

Uncle Tetsu SM Mall of Asia is the fifth store in the Philippines following the opening of Uncle Tetsu in Alabang, Podium Mall, SM San Lazaro and SM Fairview.

Truly, Uncle Tetsu is changing the cheesecake game in the Philippine Food Scene by offering a different cheesecake experience. Unlike most of the well-known Chicago and New York cheesecakes we have familiarized our palates with, Uncle Tetsu”s golden cheesecake is fluffy, light and smooth. It is no surprise that people from different Asian countries like China, Singapore and Taiwan line up to bring home the golden goodness of Uncle Tetsu’s cheesecakes.

The secrets to Uncle Tetsu’s divine and delicious cheesecakes are their ingredients and the non-existence of preservatives, which is why it is recommended to finish the cake within 3 days of purchase. Seriously, though: one can finish an entire Uncle Tetsu cheesecake in just one sitting. Uncle Tetsu cheesecake is more like our favorite mamon, but it is way smoother on the palate. Uncle Tetsu’s cheesecakes are baked daily and customers can guarantee fresh-from-the-oven treats in every box.

To make the cheesecake experience a little more fun and exciting for the fanatics, Uncle Tetsu SM Mall of Asia offers a delightful treat to its customers: Make Your Own Cheesecake just by adding Php 50. This promo is only available at the newly opened store in SM Mall of Asia, but the management is looking at offering the same for all other stores and kiosks in the Philippines.

Customers can choose from 4 spreads for this: Blueberry, Strawberry, Mango or Dulce de Leche; then pick 2 toppings from 12 colorful toppings of Dried Mango, Marshmallow, M&M’s, Almond Flakes, Chocolate Balls, Chocolate Coins, Marble Eggs, Gummy Candy, Pretzels and Colored Sprinkles.

We were given the chance to design our own cheesecake during the opening. It didn’t occur to me that designing a cake and mixing ingredients could be so challenging!
