The tigers finished with a solid 15-point lead,78-63, against the Falcons. Finishing the elimination rounds with 11 wins and 3 loses, the Tigers are the first to earn the twice-to-beat advantage into the final four.

The tigers came in strong right from the tip off, leading at the end of every quarter. By half time, the Tigers were leading by 11 points, 37-26.

With the Falcons unable to fight back at the second half, the Espana-based team continued it’s dominance, keeping a strong lead over the third quarter to end at 57-44 in favor of the Tigers.

The Tigers went on overdrive in the fourth quarter, rejecting almost every advance of the Falcons. With a minute and 25 left on the clock, the Tigers were leading by 23 points, 78-55.

The Falcons, fighting for respect from the other teams, tried their best in the final seconds of the game, cutting the gap to 15 points, 78-63, before the buzzer.

UST Team Captain Kevin Ferrer topped the scoreboard with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists. He was followed by Louie Vigil with 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.

After missing the semifinals slots last season, the Growling Tigers made a comeback this season with a number of upset wins. And with top-seeding team FEU still having two games to overcome, the Tigers still have the chance to come out as the top-seed in the semis.
