Two Pinoy Contestants Get Four Nods from “X Factor UK”!

JBK X Factor UK

It’s already an established fact that Filipinos are great singers. Just take a look at all our kababayans joining and winning singing contests all around the world. Our latest proofs are JBK and Elysa Villareal, who both advanced on X Factor UK, getting nods from all four judges.

JBK is composed of Joshua Bulot, Bryan del Rosario, and Kim Lawrenz Ordonio, who sang Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down.”

Villareal, on the other hand, sang Fleur East’s “Sax.”

X Factor UK is a music competition that searches for the next singing talent. The show is judged by Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne, and Louis Walsh.

The show has produced notable acts like One Direction, Little Mix, Leona Lewis, Olly Murs, and Cher Lloyd.

It’s no stranger to Filipino talent. In 2015, girl group 4th Impact wowed the judges with Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj’s “Bang Bang.” The girls got a standing ovation, with Cowell saying, “In terms of first auditions, this is probably one of the best I’ve ever seen.”

JBK and Villareal will join Gaga Lord, a Filipina who sang Shirley Bassey’s “Diamonds are Forever,” in the next round of the competition.
