My Top 5 Recommended Must-Try Burgers in the South of Manila

I’ve been holding back from writing an article about my top 5 must-try burgers because I might end of eating a new burger that will over-rule one that I’ve already added to the list. After visiting a bunch of restaurants and trying a good number of burgers, though, I’ve decided to finally share my 5 must-try burgers so far.

Side note: I know that there are places in BGC, Pasig, Quezon City and other places that have some mighty fine burgers, but I just don’t have the patience and time to go to those areas because of the traffic. (Feel free to recommend places in Makati, Parañaque and Alabang.)  As such, I have only explored the places near my office and near our village. Here are 5 burgers that I could go back for any day (in no particular order).

P.S. I’m always on the search for the best burgers, so these 5 may or may not be on the list next time I write about burgers.

My Top 5 Recommended Must-Try Burgers in the South of Manila

B+ (Bacon+) Burger (with an extra patty) at Burger Geek, Molito, Alabang

Php255 + Extra Patty (Php150, I think)

B+ Burger BurgerGeek

You may ask: why did I add an extra patty? Well, I find the Burger Geek burgers to be quite small, but they are delicious, so I decided to try adding a patty to see if it would ‘fit’ my hunger. I’ve tried a number of their burgers, but this burger with the extra patty was ‘the right choice’.

The King Pin at The Burgery in BF Homes, Parañaque

Php290

King Pin Burger TheBurgery

The good thing about The Burgery is that they have burgers. The not-so-good thing? The place is usually full given their small space in the restaurant. Still, the burgers are worth the drive if you’re coming from nearby areas. I couldn’t decide what burger to order, so I got the recommended burger, The King Pin. It deserves the name; that’s all I’ll say.

PigPen Burger at The PigPen in Eton Tower, Makati

Regular: Php340 or Double: Php550

Pig Pen Burger

I’ve eaten at the PigPen a number of times, but never got the chance to try their burgers. After checking  out Instagram photos of the burger, though, I finally gave in. I knew the regular would be too small; so, without hesitation, I ordered the double. My life will never be the same. I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t give in and try this. It may be a bit pricey, but don’t worry about the price because you’ll leave The PigPen happy.

South Pub Burger at South Pub in Commerce Center, Alabang

Php280

South Pub Burger

South Pub is one of the newest pubs in the South. You won’t be disappointed, especially with their drink and food specials. We were about to watch a movie and wanted to grab a bite to eat, so we decided to try South Pub. Of course, I ordered the burger. The patty wasn’t too firm, but it was tasty enough to get me wanting more!

The Q-Daddy at 8 Cuts Burgers in Greenbelt, Makati

1/4 lb: Php295 or 1/2 lb: Php345

Q-Daddy Burger

Oh, where do I start??? I often hear not-so-good things about 8 Cuts, but I’ve always loved their burgers. I first tried 8 Cuts when they opened along Leviste Street in Makati. Each time I go to 8 Cuts, I try to try a different burger; and I’ve tried several so far, but the Q-Daddy was the only one that stood out and stole my heart.

And…a bonus burger.

This one isn’t on the 8cuts menu but, if you’re interested to know more about it, send them a message on Instagram. I won’t give the name because they would like it to keep it that way…so here’s a picture to get your mouth watering instead:

I. Don’t. Know. What. To. Say. This burger was a love story waiting to happen. When 8Cuts told me about this burger, I didn’t wait long before I went and tried it. It was a decision that I’ll never regret. Believe me: if you want to try an awesome burger that’s perfect in every way – this is it. You just have to find out the name of this burger first.
So there you have it: the top 5 must-try burgers in Makati, Parañaque and Alabang.
