When in Manila, we can see (and hear) Taylor Swift everywhere! Her songs are played on almost every radio station, her concert ads are all over TV, and even online, there’s so much hype awaiting the Manila leg of the Red tour. The news of Taylor returning to the Philippines was too good to be true until she made the announcement herself in this video.

As a self-professed fan of Taylor Swift – who can’t go to her concert 🙁 – what I love about her the most are her song lyrics. They’re distinctly relatable and vulnerable, which is amazing coming from a 7-time Grammy winner and the first in Billboard’s top 40 musician moneymakers.
Some people point out the long list of guys she’s been linked to (and how a huge chunk of her songs are break-up songs), but these songs have helped people get through really bad days.
While expressing a sad emotion doesn’t completely erase the pain, it’s a relief to find a song that perfectly expresses it, and a comfort to realize that the grief is shared by others, too.
