Retired NBAÂ star Tim Duncan and long-time girlfriend Vanessa Macias just welcomed their daughter. The cool part, they named her after an iconic character, one that can be found on the comic book and movie “Guardians of the Galaxy”.
Duncan revealed that they named their daughter “Quill” after “Peter Quill” aka “Star-Lord” from the said comic book and movie.
Peter Quill is the protagonist of “Guardians of the Galaxy”.
“My girlfriend, she also writes a lot too, so it’s like a pen quill,” Duncan added. “It’s a combination of all the things.”
Duncan is a massive comic book fan. He even got featured on a special cover of Marvel’s “The Punisher” in 2014.
