This Student Was Trapped in an Elevator for 5 Hours, Used Time to Finish Homework

Talk about seeing the silver lining and living up the mantra “time is gold.”

This student who was trapped in an elevator for five hours did not waste any of his time just waiting for help and doing nothing. He spent his time inside the elevator finishing his homework.

According to RocketNews24, the boy who got stuck inside the elevator was Sun Yixiao, a 13 year old student from Harbin City in China.

He was discovered to be stuck in an elevator after seeking help from his friends. Initially, he tried to get help via the intercom but that did not work. Moreover, he got his family worried after not returning home immediately from school.

After several attempts of opening the door, trying to pry it open even with his bare hands, he decided to simply wait for help. He wrote a note on a piece of paper and slipped it through the door.

The message was, “Someone is inside the elevator. Please contact the building’s administration!”

After that, he simply sat down and started solving math problems for homework. Apparently, he was able to finish not only his math homework but also his science and Chinese homework while stuck in the elevator.

When the firefighters arrived to open the door, he was already done with homework and was just memorizing a few Chinese characters.

If you got stuck inside an elevator for five hours, would you also work on your homework while waiting for help?
