Fandom is an amusing thing. It’s such a cool feeling for sports fans to be able to pay tribute to their favorite players by wearing their jerseys or uniforms.
But this Houston Astros fan took fandom to another level, attending an Astros minor league game in a Nolan Ryan jersey.
For those of you who don’t know who Nolan Ryan is, he was an 8-time MLB All-Star and a World Series champion. His #34 jersey was retired by both the Astros and the Texas Rangers. Now, Ryan serves as an executive adviser to the owner of the Astros.
Funny thing is, this fan who was wearing a Nolan Ryan jersey was sitting beside Nolan Ryan himself, but he was totally unaware of it! He literally sat right next to him!

Unfortunately, the fan left the field failing to recognize the person sitting just two feet away from him. That would have been an amazing story to share for the rest of his life. Someone should have tapped him on the shoulder and pointed it out!
