The second season of Stranger Things just aired, which means the wait for the third season has just begun. While waiting for the next installment of the hit Netflix show, here’s another series from the same platform that will give off the same vibes as the events in Hawkins: Dark. Dark is a German supernatural thriller that has a few similarities with Stranger Things and we are here for it.
Watch the trailer for Dark below:
Dark is described as a family saga with a supernatural twist, and centers on the disappearances of two young boys. The incident exposes the fractured relationships and double lives of four families, as well as a mystery spanning three generations.
IGN writes, “Dark is also a more mature version of Stranger Things, featuring a great deal of swearing, nudity, and gore. Thankfully, none of the ‘R-Rated’ material feels excessive. Dark lives up to its name in terms of its narrative […] Dark is a delightful bit of supernatural fun that’s worth the 10 hours it will take to finish when it releases on December 1st.”
The show stars Louis Hofman, Oliver Masucci, Jordis Triebel, Maja Schöne, Sebastian Rudolph, Anatole Taubman, Mark Waschke, Karoline Eichhorn, Stephan Kampwirth, Anne Ratte-Polle, Andreas Pietschmann, Lisa Vicari, Angela Winkler, Michael Mendl, and Antje Traue.
Dark is now available for streaming on Netflix.
