Apparently, Japan will light up its sky with a short fireworks display tonight at 8 PM.
The ‘Cheer Up! Hanabi’ organizers have confirmed that a fireworks display will happen simultaneously in all of its nation’s 47 prefectures.
However, to avoid crowds, the details of where the fireworks will be launched were not revealed. So, they told people in Japan to just keep an eye in the sky.
Cheer Up! Hanabi is pushing through despite many fireworks festival getting canceled in the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It seems that Japan would not want to let summer pass without a fireworks display.
This move is an effort among several Japanese fireworks makers to light up the sky without attracting large crowds.
Apparently, more than 140 companies across the entire nation will participate in the Cheer Up! Hanabi project.
As the name suggests, the goal of Cheer Up! Hanabi is to boost the people’s spirits during the uncertainty of the coronavirus pandemic. It is said that each fireworks display will last only five minutes or less to prevent people from gathering.
Now, if you’re not living in Japan or you think you can’t see it from your house then simply check the hashtag #cheeruphanabi after the event because participating pyrotechnicians will upload photos and videos of the display.
