This Adorable 89-Year-Old Photographer Takes The Funniest Self-Portraits

Who says photography is just for the young’uns? As Kimiko Noshimoto proves, art and technology know no age. The 89-year-old Japanese grandma has been making waves for her quirky self-portraits, and rightfully so!

Kimiko went viral after some of her wacky and well-thought of shots made the rounds on the internet. As it turns out, everything is all her work: She’s been snapping and editing her own pictures for the last 17 years, clearly developing her own unique style by mixing her photos with her own sense of humor.

According to Bored Panda, Kimiko didn’t pick up a camera until she was 72 years old. Her son was teaching a beginner’s course and decided to take up his class. What she didn’t know, however, was that she was going to discover a talent she didn’t know she had in the first place. She’s already held her first solo exhibition in her hometown of Kumamoto, and has another upcoming one in Tokyo in December!

Check out her hilarious and adorable portraits below.
