There's Going to be a New Cinematic Universe Featuring Classic Movie Monsters!

Marvel and DC have proven how cinematic universes can rake in the fandoms and the money. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Avengers, while the DC Extended Universe has Man of SteelBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Suicide Squad (and the upcoming Wonder Woman and Justice League). Now, there’s going to be a new cinematic universe featuring classic movie monsters!

The Dark Universe is a Universal initiative, and will kick-off with The Mummy, starring Tom Cruise. This will be followed by The Bride of Frankenstein, starring Javier Bardem as Frankenstein’s monster. It will be directed by Beauty and the Beast‘s Bill Condon and will come out in February 2019.
