While the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons Men’s Basketball Team may not be the best-performing basketball team in the UAAP, there’s no doubt that they play with a lot of heart. In fact, that burning passion was what led them to secure three wins so far this season, one of the best performances the team has given in recent years since they ended their 27-game losing streak in 2014.
Now, the UP Fighting Maroons collaborated with Fliptop rapper and emcee BLKD to create a heart-pounding, action-stopping video, mixing the best of the team’s moves and BLKD’s compelling words as directed by Joyce Torrecampo.
It’s a hair-rising video that gives tribute to all athletes past and present, and their ever-supportive fans, inspiring the underdog in all of us.
