“The Jetsons” Will Have a Live-Action TV Adaptation!

The Jetsons Show

Fans of old-school cartoons, we have great news for you: The Jetsons will be rebooted into a new TV series and it will be live action!

The Jetsons is set 100 years in the future and follows the adventures of George, Jane, Judy, and Elroy Jetson, and their robot maid Rosie and dog Astro. It originally aired from 1962 to 1963 with 24 episodes, and was meant as a futuristic counterpart to The Flintstones. In 1985, it was revived with 41 new episodes.

It was adapted into Jetsons: The Movie in 1990 and The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania! in 2017.

There’s no word who will star or what the upcoming series will be about, but it will be executive produced by Robert Zemeckis, who is behind films like the Back to the Future trilogy, Death Becomes Her, Forrest Gump, The Polar Express, and more.

Warner Bros. is also developing an animated film with Sausage Party co-director Conrad Vernon signed on as director.
