The Happy Diet: A Healthy Lifestyle Doesn’t Have to be Sad!

The Happy Diet:A Healthy Lifestyle Doesn’t Have to be Sad!

When in Manila, it’s a great time to be a foodie. Friends and relatives share the best dining spots, so we seem to never run out of new places to try, and old favorites to return to!

I feel very strongly about food, and while others had Freshman 15, I think I might have gotten a Freshman 30! From high school to my first two years in college, my  eating habits have gone from bad to worse. I ate to much sweets, took in too much caffeine, got addicted to milk teas and other unhealthy drinks.

More than the dent on my wallet and the 30 additional pounds, I hated feeling like a slave to such temporal things that I knew were not good for me.

But everytime I lost a bit of weight and become healthier, I just realized that food made me so much happier than weight loss! :)) So a healthier lifestyle lasted for a maximum of two weeks.

This is why The Happy Diet caught my eye. After all the failed attempts to live healthier, I realized that the only way I could possibly stick to a healthier lifestyle is if I enjoy it.

Before diving into the meals themselves, I’d like to share with you the four reasons why I think I finally found a healthier lifestyle I could stick to!

4 Reasons Why the Happy Diet Makes Me Happy

1.) It’s very convenient.

Here’s how it goes: You text The Happy Diet hotline, including your name, your complete delivery address, your preferred time of delivery, and your preferred Caloric intake (1200/1600/1800/2000). You could opt to pay through bank deposit, check, or cash upon delivery.

It’s exciting to get up in the morning and peel open that brown paper bag! They deliver your meals even in the storm, something that even their celebrity clients have raved about online.

No need to wake up extra early to prepare your meals for the day!

2.) I lost weight.

My family doesn’t keep a weighing scale at home. I was never fond of checking my weight, so I can’t give a specific number of many pounds I lost. But a week after being with The Happy Diet, four different people observed that I lost weight. (I didn’t force them :>)

And while it’s still a long way to go before I get back my ideal weight, it’s a good start considering it was only for 5 days!

3.) I eventually developed a preference for healthier food.

I mentioned I couldn’t stick to a healthy diet that I didn’t enjoy. I enjoyed The Happy Diet because the food was great! It was unique, and they served international cuisine that I’ve never tried before.

Admittedly, some of the meals took some getting used to. During the first day, I wanted soy sauce on my meal. And I also wanted cake for dessert! But eventually, meal after meal, I think I really got used to it! By the fifth day, I enjoyed the meals so much that I signed up for another week!

When I bought some cookies over the weekend, I no longer enjoyed them. They tasted way too sweet for me! When I was having dinner with my brother (whose preference for food was always less salty than mine) I found our dinner way too salty–but he didn’t!

4.) Your get your money‘s worth. Sobrang sulit!

Five days worth of food (including thee meals and two snacks) — inclusive of delivery– cost only 2,000 pesos. That’s 15 meals and 10 snacks! The meals are also a healthier alternative compared to the fast food I’ve frequented in the past.

Having said all that, I’m happy to show you the meals The Happy Diet served for 5 days! 🙂 They change their menu every week, so it might not be the same food they serve to you. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy a much healthier lifestyle with the help of The Happy Diet!
