The Global Mala Project 2012

September 1, 2012 will mark the 5th year run of the Global Mala Project in Manila. Supermodel and accomplished yogini Teresa Herrera will be spearheading the event which will be held at the Rockwell Tent from 8AM to 10PM. This year, Global Mala Project will kick-off in Manila to start yoga month, after which the same event will transpire in other participating cities including Los Angeles, London and Tokyo all throughout September.
Founded by Shiva Rea in 2007, the project is inspired by the idea of creating a mala (a set of beads, traditionally used to focus awareness during meditation) around the world. It aims to promote peace and positive change through yoga while at the same time, raise social consciousness and funds for noteworthy causes. 100% of the proceeds for this year’s event will benefit non-profit organizations Trees for the Future, Tubbataha ReefsÂ
Join us in a full day event of yoga, music, dance and more! Early bird rate P450 pesos (purchased through deal grocer by Aug 5, 2012)/ Event date P650 pesos for a full day pass on all classes. A variety of food stalls serving healthy and yummy food as well as an Eco trade products will also be set up at the event!Â
Dress comfortable. Bring yoga mat and an open heart. If you don’t have a mat, we will have some avail for rent at the event. 🙂Â
