The First Trailer for “Venom” is Out Now and We Can’t Deal!

One of the movies we’re excited to see is the feature on Venom, which will star Tom Hardy as the titular character and will be released on October 5, 2018.

The trailer is out now and you can watch it below:

The first photo of Hardy as Eddie Brock (Venom’s host) was released recently and while it wasn’t much, it’s enough to get us excited for the film’s release. There’s also footage of Hardy with director Ruben Fleischer teasing the crowd at Brazil Comic-Con. In the clip, Fleischer said, “We wanna be as true as possible to the comics with our film, but our story is primarily based on the Lethal Protector and The Planet of the Symbiotes books.”

Venom is considered as one of Spider-Man’s worst enemies. The character first appeared in the comics in 1988, created by writer David Michelinie and artists Todd McFarlane and Mike Zeck. He is described as an alien symbiote that attaches itself to a human host. IGN ranked him as the 22nd Greatest Comic Book Villain of All Time in its list of the top 100 comic villains.

Venom was previously portrayed in Spider-Man 3 by Topher Grace.
