The Polaris Project is back with its fifth installment of The Crowdfunding Sessions, a series of gigs featuring local independent bands intended to raise funds for the self-production of their own records.

This time, they’re featuring Anton Salvador’s electronic solo project pillowtalk and his highly anticipated debut EP called The Year of Tolerance. With early sounds ranging from IDM, Glitch-Hop, and Abstract Hip-Hop to more recently Future Beats, Trap, and R&B, he fuses all his influences and draws from his everyday experiences to make what he calls, “Introverted Dance Music”.

Spend your Friday night vibing to his bedroom beats on October 14 at Black Market, Makati City. Playing alongside him are the acts similarobjects, no rome, Kardashev and BEDSPACER. Tickets are sold at P150 with a download code of the EP.

Pillowtalk (formerly known as The After-School Special) comes from the BuwanBuwan Collective, the first group of DJ’s/Producers from the younger generation of Filipino beatmakers to make a mark in the local scene. Other than his sincere and melancholy-tinged sample based beats, he is also known for his remixes of local acts (tide/edit, Ourselves The Elves, and BP Valenzuela to name a few).
