The BGC Auto Show

Our urban landscape is always changing. Everyday, we come across shiny cars along the streets of Metro Manila and we can’t help but turn our heads when one handsome (or gorgeous) automobile drives by. What if we put all those eye-catching and head-turning wheels that you have seen – and those you haven’t seen yet – in one auto show? Why don’t we add in passionate and very talented athletes, performers, and artists of the Philippines in this fresh and exciting fund-raising event? Now, who cannot resist that?

On May 11, 2013, Saturday, car enthusiasts from all over the Philippines will be swarming to Bonifacio Global City to witness what is possibly the biggest benefit auto show in Manila this year. Presented by SNG Productions, the BGC Auto Show will be showcasing a wide array of automobiles, from vintage classics to tuner cars to race cars, to raise funds for Tahanang Walang Hagdanan, Inc. The BGC Auto Show aims to financially assist the construction of the foundation’s proposed powder-coating facility, which will in turn support the livelihood of their beneficiaries.

Those who are interested to showcase their automobile can do so for an entrance fee of only P1,000 or P1,500 for the Street and Pro categories respectively. The difference being that the latter category is composed of shop entries and entries that have previously been showcased in major car shows, while the former consists of daily driven cars, first timers, and car club members.

Exhibitors will get a chance to win one or more of the multitude of awards to be given during the program, including special awards by industry experts such as Alex Isip, the multi-awarded genius behind Alex Car Restoration, among others.

Aside from the car exhibit itself, the show will also feature band and dance performances, a fashion show, and sports demonstrations of football and capoeira. To raise more funds, contests for photography, design, writing and DJ mixing will also be held during the course of the event.

With all these activities, the BGC Auto Show is obviously not only meant for car lovers, but also for creative souls, as well as those willing to help support Tahanang Walang Hagdanan.

If you want to be part of it, whether as an exhibitor or a sponsor, feel free to send an e-mail to sng.productions@live.com. For updates, like the BGC Auto Show Facebook page.

Indulge yourself in the visual feast that awaits you in the BGC Auto Show. It will definitely be a refreshing treat for you, your family, and your friends during this year’s summer heat. See you there!
