It’s safe to say that the City of Makati is one of the densest cities in the world. In fact, based on the list of the Top 50 densely populated cities worldwide by Wikipedia, Makati is the 38th most densely populated one (with our very own City of Manila being the #1 MOST densely populated city, thus the traffic in the whole metro huhuhu) and more than a million people are present in the city on a regular working day.
This is mainly because Makati is THE financial capital of the country as majority of the multinational and local companies in the Philippines are here. Plus, the city serves as one of the major entertainment and culture hubs in the whole Metro Manila. I’ve been going to Makati, particularly Glorietta, very often lately as it’s a nice location to unwind after going through ‘hell’ on the MRT. While descending the stairs of MRT Ayala Station, I’ve always seen these two tall towers from afar standing on top of the part of Glorietta 4 and wondered what those buildings were…

… and as discovered, those two towers are part of Ascott Makati. As you can see, it’s directly connected to the shopping mall! All you need is 5 minutes at most to go down the floors of Ascott Makati to reach Glorietta 4’s entrance, and shop, dine or relax. It’s as easy as that!
