7. Singapore Chili Coconut Crab
This one’s high up in our list of favorites that we went coco-loco for. We would have cracked 10 more of these pinchers but had to restrain ourselves to taste more of Singapore.
6. Shrimp Paste Chicken
A diner’s plate of prime Ribeye steak and a side of Shrimp Paste Chicken.
I really like the taste of pungent shrimp paste. Deep-frying tender cutlets of chicken with this sauce has produced a crispy and savory dish that won us over.

5. Som Tum (Green Papaya Salad)
The classic Thai cuisine flavors—sweet, salty, spicy, sour, and bitter all at the same time— were entangled in this salad. “Som Tum” essentially means a salad made in mortar, just like how the ingredients are crushed by a pestle at this station.
4. Pad Thai
This stir-fried noodle dish is commonly served as street food. The use of tangy tamarind and shrimp transported us to a casual eatery in Thailand.

3. Goi Cuon (Fresh Spring Rolls)
Vietnamese cuisine is among the healthiest in the world! These fresh and light rolls packed with healthy herbs, low-calorie noodles, and traditional peanut sauce hold up that reputation.
2. Vietnamese Peach Tea
Thai Milk Tea, Matcha Lemon and Mint, and Vietnamese Peach Tea (P150 per order)
Taste Asia is made cooler with these three specially concocted beverages. I went for the healthy-looking Matcha. As if anything ‘healthy’ at this point would be any consolation to the fact that we ate as much as seven hungry children. After sipping each one, we all agreed that the lightly sweet peach tea was the most refreshing.
1. Assorted Asian Flavors of Homemade Gelato
We cannot emphasize enough on how much you must try these! My heart fluttered and eyes opened wide with delight at the first taste of my coconut gelato-filled spoon. The Southeast Asian flavors of the day were Pandan, Ube, Red bean, Matcha, and Young Coconut. I’ve gone to gelato heaven and I wanna go back soon!

We disembarked from today’s memorable food journey with our appetites gratified, tummies healthier-looking *unbuttons pants*, and our hearts happy back home. The day’s glorious flavors and textures were a vivid integration of Asian culture. It tasted indigenous, tropically-charged, intriguingly delicious, and comfortingly close to home.
