The 9th Kapihan Sa Banking is the annual welcoming event of the Department of Banking and Finance of Polytechnic University of The Philippines for newly shifts and transferees. This event aims to enlighten them about the vast opportunities in the Field of Banking and Finance. It also serves as their orientation as new members of the department.
The event will showcase the experiences of alumni in the field of Banking and Finance to encourage and enthusiast the members in the new field they have chosen.
This will be attended by 350 students on the 22nd of July, 2017 at the Claro M. Recto Hall, PUP Main Campus, Sta. Mesa Manila.
ABOUT JUNIOR FINANCIAL EXECUTIVES – PUP:
The Junior Financial Executives – PUP Manila is a student-run organization known for its interactive academic and non-academic events for banking and finance students. With over 1500 active members, making it one of the biggest JFINEX chapters in the Philippines. The organization intends to promote financial literacy to its members by upholding awareness about the field of banking and finance with its initiative of molding its members to become successful finance professionals in the future. For the past years, the organization has partnered with the biggest finance organization nationwide: the CFA Institute of the Philippines, FinEx –Philippines, the Junior Confederation of Finance Associations-Philippines (JCFAP), and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). It is known for holding different interactive academic and non–academic events. Last 2015, JFINEX-PUP was nominated as “Advocacy Group of the Year” in the 1st Angat Pilipinas Financial Literacy Awards, Winner of “Scholastic Award and Innovative Award” of JCFAP for its continuous support in promoting financial literacy to its members and to the community.
