Dra. Vicky Belo is taking measures to protect herself from getting infected with the novel coronavirus, now referred to as COVID-19, which has become a global health threat.
The celebrity dermatologist created a minute-and-a-half long Instagram TV post in which she demonstrated what she does as soon as she enters an aircraft. With an ultraviolet light sanitizer (the “Germ Reaper”) which she claims “supposedly kills bacteria,” she presses it down all over the surface of her seat before sanitizing her seat even further with baby wipes.
“We don’t know everything, where they eat, where they ano (do whatever), right?” she said.
She then used a hand sanitizer to clean her hands, adding that having clean hands is more important than using a face mask.
Health experts have confirmed that COVID-19 can be spread from human to human which could happen if you come into contact with the secretions of an infected person, such as their cough droplets. It may also be spread through touch, i.e. you touch something that an infected person has touched, and then touch your eyes, nose, and mouth.
