The Rolling Stones releases new, quarantine-themed song

With most of the world in quarantine right now, The Rolling Stones releases a song called Living in a Ghost Town.” The song reflects what the world is going through right now, having themes of being stuck at home with nowhere to go.

Frontman Mick Jagger said he and the band were recording some material before the lockdown. He said, “There was one song I thought that would resonate through the times we’re living in.” The song was recorded in LA and London last year and was finished in isolation.

The song was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards with lyrics that go, “Life was so beautiful / Then we all got locked down … Please let this be over / Stuck in a world without end.”

This is also the first single the band has released since 2012. The Rolling Stones also performed during the One World: Together at Home concert where they gave a virtual performance of their song, You Can’t Always Get What You Want.
