Anyone who lives or has lived in the city would know what it feels like to constantly feel the urge to escape the blustering city noise every now and then. To those who the time and ample energy, traveling always seems to be the best remedy. Otherwise, a quiet staycation in the city would work wonders, too.
Brentwood Suites is a stylish new hotel located just minutes away from Quezon City’s major business hubs, entertainment centers, and other key attractions. Closing in on its second year, the now 74-room building offers all the most basic items for the perfect solo relaxation, or with your loved ones. For this particular staycation though, I brought four of my closest friends and stayed in one of Brentwood’s premier rooms. It was the first time we’ve tried something like this together, so you could just imagine how excited we were once we all finally got inside.
Twenty two hours later, we gathered more than enough reasons to say why this experience was clearly one to remember. To give you an idea, here are five of our favorite things from our stay at Brentwood Suites:
5. Embracing the new and old
Brentwood Suites had its soft opening last June, followed by a grand launch on September just last year, so it’s pretty much a baby in the sea of hotels in the city. And right away, the sparkly clean interiors would easily tell you that.
But unlike a lot of recently opened establishments, the hotel is perfectly polished down from the lobby all the way up to the penthouse.
What stood out, however, was the hotel’s progressive understanding of your needs, whether for business or other personal reasons, which are adequately addressed in all of the hotel’s state-of-the-art features. It has the freshness of a newly opened hotel, but the service level of its more mature, longer-established peers.
4. Intimate, not intimidate.
Most luxury hotels I’ve been to for work or staycations had a somewhat elaborate yet intimidating impression when it comes to their overall interior and exterior designs. But extremely high ceilings and vast yet empty spaces don’t exactly exude the necessary vibe to make you feel at closed comfort. Brentwood Suites, on the contrary, is designed just enough to make you feel like you’re in one of the city’s towering hotels, but without that overwhelmingly cold and alienating feeling.
3. Take cramming totally out of the picture!
The rooms are minimalistically decorated with soft soothing tones, relaxing lights, and sleek furniture pieces. Add them all together and you still get that fancy yet gloriously composed vision. Of course, they have all your essentials handy within your room, so you don’t have to bother going out for quick buys–even though you can literally walk it out to the nearby drugstore and mall.
Outside your room, they have a fitness center situated at the topmost floor so you can enjoy a fine city view while doing your workout with their high-end gym equipment – a nice way to release some weeks or months worth of stress. Still, if you want a less physically demanding way to do it, just have the staff make arrangements with their spa center, and you’ll have your well-needed massage in the comfort of your own room in no time!
How’s their wifi, you ask? Well, all 5 of us got our OWN pass so we didn’t have to fight for a fast connection.
