SirkoINDAK 2017: a Dance Thesis Production

SirkoIndak2017

The set up will be the typical competition that has different categories which will be evaluated by the judges through different criteria that are based on their ability to perform continuous complex and high-intensity aerobic movement patterns to music.

The competitors must possess the elements which originate from traditional aerobic exercises. Routines must demonstrate continuous movement, flexibility, strength and the utilization of the seven basic steps, with perfectly executed elements. When it comes to routine-making, Jasmin Yu will be the one to choreograph their dance routine. Everyone will be required to attend a refresher about the 5 basic choreographic dance steps. This will help them understand what their performance is all about and check the things to consider on their routine so that everything will be based on the standards of the competition. Each and every one of them will be having a certain style that is selected by the director. These styles include modern, contemporary, and ballet dance.

SirkoINDAK 2017 is a dance production thesis under the DLS-CSB Bachelor of Performing Arts — Dance program. Its production team is made up of mostly students majoring in different courses related to their assigned tasks alongside Jasmin C. Yu, the director.

The show will run on November 25, 2017 (Saturday) 1PM at the 5/F Theater in Benilde’s School of Design and Arts building. Tickets are priced at Php 150.00 each and can be purchased by contacting 09392155594 / 09179006513 or by messaging our Facebook page.
