Rachel Alejandro recently announced that she is now a U.S.-based actor.

On social media, she wrote, “This year, with the help of career coach David Bianco, I began a new chapter in my life as a U.S.-based actor. After a few movie and TV projects, including working as [a] background (extra) junior associate on the series The Good Fight, I was invited to join the actors’ union.”

Alejandro shared a photo of herself holding her membership card at the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).

According to its website, “SAG-AFTRA represents approximately 160,000 actors, announcers, broadcast journalists, dancers, DJs, news writers, news editors, program hosts, puppeteers, recording artists, singers, stunt performers, voiceover artists, and other media professionals.”

Its members “work together to secure the strongest protections for media artists into the 21st century and beyond.”

Alejandro added, “Thank you, Jhett Tolentino for casting me in Asian Persuasion and giving me my first SAG credit.”

She also hinted at a movie role slated for 2023.
