My daughter loves cookie dough! Whenever I bake cookies, she always asks to munch on cookie dough – so often so that I make it a point to make more cookie dough than I actually need when I bake just so she has something to snack on every now and then. It turns out we can actually buy cookie dough online now: through Perfect Palate!

Perfect Palate was born when Aileen De Guzman’s father had a heart attack and as a result, lost his job. This event made Aileen start thinking outside of the box, and drove her to start selling edible cookie dough with her best friend back in 2017. Things didn’t go smoothly, though, and they had to stop accepting orders by the end of 2018.

The following year, Aileen focused on reconstructing the brand – looking for local farmers and suppliers, doing rigorous research and development on products, marketing, and getting the proper papers in order. “The vision I set my eyes on is to be able to grow into a proper brand that can be epitomized as quality and luxury founded on supporting local,” she shares.

Perfect Palate’s Edible Cookie Dough Series is best eaten at room temperature, but refrigeration is advised for a longer and safer shelf life. You can choose to bake it, too, though this will make it sweeter and (in my personal opinion) would defeat the purpose.

What I love about their Edible Cookie Dough Series is the wide array of flavors available for it. There are so many flavors to choose from – Chocolate Chip, Oreo, Funfetti, Roasted Coffee, Brownie Batter, Red Velvet, and Oreo Red Velvet – so you are sure to find something that will tickle your fancy. We were only able to try the Oreo; but we do have plans of the trying the rest of the flavors sometime, as well.

Edible cookie dough aside, Perfect Palate also has a variety of chili oils available – and they are all delicious! You can choose your own spice levels and honestly, they have chili oil flavors that will go with practically anything you might have set on the table. My personal favorite is the Sichuan Chili Oil since I have a soft spot for Chinese food, but make sure to try them all and don’t be afraid to experiment!

What makes Perfect Palate unique is that they always prioritize quality over quantity, and safety standards over monetary gain. “In all honesty, after our hiatus, I only release products if it’s to my tastes,” Aileen adds. “I imagine, “If I bought this, would I be happy with it?” It’s just one of those things that is hard to put into words; but I promise you: once you do try our products, you will be back for more.”

In the future, Aileen hopes to expand into fashion, furniture, and more; but for now, you can order products from Perfect Palate and get it delivered anywhere in the Metro through available couriers.
