Then you might have caught Toni Gonzaga’s punchline hosting stint during the event! With jabs on the contestants’ answers to her questions, to poking harmless fun at a judge’s last name, netizens all over social media had something to say about her performance!
Some praised her spontaneity and ability to ease the tension especially during the iconic Q&A segment of the competition, while others were annoyed at her side comments and thought that her humor was ill-placed in what was considered an “elegant” event.
Even Bb Pilipinas-Universe 2000 titleholder Nina Alagao wrote a Facebook post criticizing Toni’s hosting stint during the pageant. (The post has since been taken down).
