Malate Convention for the Arts: “Creative Resistance as Social Involvement”

Malate Literary Folio will be holding its annual Malate Convention for the Arts. This will be a seminar wherein prominent speakers in the fields of art, photography, poetry, and prose are invited to provide a lecture on their respective crafts.

For this year, the series of lectures feature the theme “Creative Resistance as Social Involvement.

The event will be held at Bro. Andrew Gonzalez’s 20th Multipurpose Hall on February 17, 2017 (Friday) from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. The seminar is to emphasize the ability of the literary and visual arts to influence the workings of society in the form of creating works that shed light on today’s reality.

Malate Literary Folio, the official literary and visual arts publication of De La Salle University-Manila, was established on 1984 by distinguished writers Efren Abueg and Jun Cruz Reyes.
