Joshua Garcia finally breaks his silence after the social media storm involving his ex-girlfriend Julia Barretto, and the couple Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo. Recently, rumors of a romance between Barretto and Anderson have floated online, even if Anderson is still committed to Alonzo.
In the press conference of Garcia’s TV series The Killer Bride (which also stars Maja Salvador, Anderson’s ex), he was asked how he’s doing. He said, “Ako ay okay na okay lang po. Masaya na po kasi ako ngayon e. Kumbaga, haharapin ko po siguro ‘yung araw na passionate ako sa trabaho. Puro trabaho naman talaga recently eh. So ‘yung isip ko nasa trabaho.” [I’m doing okay. I’m happy right now. I’m passionate about my work because it’s all work recently. So my mind is focused on that.”]
Garcia and Barretto reportedly broke up after Between Maybes, Barretto’s movie with Anderson. No reason was shared, but they did announce that they are now best friends. Recently, Barretto shared an Instagram story showing Garcia’s message to her, saying, “Malalampasan mo yan. I know you, you’re the strongest girl na nakilala ko. Takot nga ako sayo eh.” [You will move on from this. I know you, you’re the strongest girl I know. I’m scared of you!”]
The issue began when photos of Anderson with Julia Barretto surfaced online. Alonzo then began posting cryptic posts on Instagram alluding to the situation. Days later, she revealed that she did not know that her relationship with Anderson was over, and that they only stopped talking.
