Apparently, Vice President Jejomar Binay called himself “president” while at an event in Pasay after a reporter asked him about allegations on making money from the University of Makati’s College of Nursing when he was still mayor, according to a report from the Philippine Daily Inquirer!
This was when he was reportedly asked to confirm if he resigned as chairman of the Philippine Healthcare Educators Inc. (PHEI) to which he responded with “E paano naman, president na ako”.
He was reportedly quickly corrected by a reporter, who said that he must have meant vice president.
According to the report, Binay smiled and said that he must have made the mistake because he keeps getting hounded with questions regarding his presidential bid in 2016!
Apparently, it was all just a slip of the tongue.
