If you’re one of those people who has had numerous horrible taxi experiences, forcing you to change your motto in life to “never ride a taxi again,” get ready to have your faith in humanity restored.
Meet Joel Vergara from Tabaco, Albay. He currently works as a taxi driver slash tour guide stationed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City who, while on duty, noticed a bag of valuables inside his car.
According to Aljon Olfindo Manlangit, who shared the inspiring story on Facebook, the taxi driver arrived at their home in Makati at around 10:45 p.m. last October 5 to return the bag containing the laptop, mobile phone, and some important documents to his co-seaman friend, who happened to be one of the taxi’s passengers that day.

While it may be common to hear stories of bad taxi experiences, it doesn’t mean that all taxi drivers are the same. This story just proves that there are people out there, still, who would rather do good than bad.
