FUJIFILM Philippines, Inc. is pleased to announce the newest smartphone printer “instax mini Link 2” on July 7th, 2022. The Link 2, which supports card-size instax film, is the latest addition to the Link Series of smartphone printers offering a variety of unique functions that allow users to have fun with friends. It not only prints out images taken with a smartphone on the spot with ease but also features a new function called “instaxAIR” in which users can draw “in the air”. By using the dedicated app, users can apply an AR (augmented reality) effect when taking pictures and adding drawings or writings. The corresponding app for this unit is called “instax mini Link” and is available for download in the App Store and Google Play Store.
Along with this, Fujifilm will also release a new instax mini design film “SPRAY ART,” which features a vivid design with a spray-painted look. This retails for P400 and will also be available in the local market by July 28th.
To try the “instaxAIR” feature, users can simply press the “feature” button on the top of the product to enable the side LED of Link 2. When the device is connected to the smartphone via its dedicated app, the users can aim toward the smartphone to draw “in the air”. When making an instaxAiR print, the Link 2 vibrates in line with its movements and plays special effects sound that matches the AR effect. Both the vibration and sound effects bring an added excitement to those who use instaxAiR. Users can also draw images or writings directly with their fingers to the dedicated app on the smartphone, producing an original instax print.

Aside from the features mentioned, the Link 2 also has a function of recording the action of drawing using the instaxAiR, and saving the footage as a video. The saved video can be easily shared on social media including TikTok, thereby providing a new way of enjoying instax to users who explore their creativity. The “Match Test” function, made popular by the instax mini Link, now has a “Go with your instinct” mode that allows users to choose a color that represents how they are feeling at the moment and check their compatibility with their friends based on the colors they choose. These unique features amplify the fun of playing with instax.
The instax mini Link 2 is dropping on July 28th in authorized Fujifilm instax dealers nationwide and official online flagship stores in Lazada and Shopee for only P7,299. It comes with a FREE pack of instax mini glossy film (10 sheets) and is available in three (3) colorways which are Soft Pink, Clay White, and Space Blue.
