During last Tuesday’s (Wednesday here in the Philippines) Knick-Blazers match, a spectator reportedly harassed the Knicks forward for sloppy play leading to an 85-104 loss at their home turf.

According to reports, the fan was standing a few rows behind the Knicks bench. During a timeout, the fan reportedly started yelling in Anthony’s direction.

“He kept calling my name, calling my name, saying, ‘You guys suck, you guys suck… At that point, I was trying to gather myself, and I turned around. All I did was point at Dolan and told him, ‘Look, the owner’s right there. Ask for your money back.’ He’s calling me and telling me he’s never coming to another game and we suck.” Anthony told reporters.

The Knicks have lost 15 of their last 18 games, giving the he Knicks the third-worst record in the Eastern Conference and are guaranteed to miss the playoffs for the third straight season.

It didn’t take long for Anthony to cool his head, and released a statement saying sorry for the incident:

Did Anthony do the right thing by saying sorry?
