For fitness junkies, the COVID-19 situation is their worst nightmare yet. With gyms and fitness centers closed until further notice, they have no access to any of their beloved equipment. Not to mention, with the community quarantines in place, Fun Run events are out of the question. This has left many with no choice but to resort to their favorite fitness YouTubers instead.
Thankfully, World Vision has organized a Virtual Fun Run that everyone can do at the safety of their own homes. This means that no matter where you are in the world, you can join the event and help support your chosen advocacy. It should be noted that the inclusions (race bib, shirt, finisher’s medal and an e-certificate) can only be delivered to Philippine addresses, though.
To make things more exciting, World Vision has several celebrity ambassadors who will be joining the Virtual Run for Children 2020. These include Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Enzo Pineda, Gretchen Ho, and Gelli Victor!
Jasmine shares that she has always found it enjoyable to join World Vision’s Fun Runs. Her favorite memory, in particular, is when she ran with her dog in the 500M distance for the Children’s category. She adds that it’s not about the distance that you run, but the fact that you are able to help children along the way.

Enzo, on the other hand, has been joining World Vision Fun Runs even before he became an ambassador! As someone that has a great interest in fitness and in helping children, joining World Vision’s Virtual Fun Run has helped him achieve both.

Additionally, both Jasmine and Enzo agreed that doing Fun Runs is more important now that the world continues to face stressful times. They share that participating in activities like this can help boost your “happy hormones” and keep your insights sharp! Not to mention, by participating in World Vision’s Virtual Run, you are able to give back and help build a future for children all over the Philippines as a portion of the proceeds will go into supporting your chosen advocacy.
