Interestingly, 24 Chicken’s how-we-started story is born from a relatable story of fellow dormers who treated everyday as a quest to find the best restaurant that fits their budget. Jefferson Uy, co-owner of 24 Chicken, reminisces about the days when he and his partners first met while studying abroad. They weren’t allowed to cook in their dorm, which led them to ordering takeout almost everyday.

“One of our all-time favorites was a small hole-in-the-wall Korean fried chicken delivery store. We kept coming back for more until we met and befriended the Korean owner. We later found out that even our fellow Filipino and international friends and classmates liked the hole-in-the-wall Korean place.

When we got back to the Philippines, we went our separate ways and established our own businesses. However, every time we had a reunion, we would always reminisce about the Korean chicken store and think about the possibility of bringing the concept here to the Philippines,” says Jefferson.

After learning tricks and methods to making the perfect Korean fried chicken from a Korean restauranteur, 24 Chicken has grown from its humble beginnings into a recognized brand among students and professionals around the Vito Cruz area for its delicious Korean fried chicken and honest pricing.

“We have established a number of  loyal customers, as well, and have been hearing optimistic reviews to the point of receiving franchising inquiries. 24 Chicken is still a baby, but we are very proud of what it has accomplished and we are very positive about what it will become.”
