Tagaytay Photowalk With RV Mitra, WD’s Latest Influencer, And The My Passport Wireless

Tagaytay is always a quick getaway from Metro Manila, a 2-hour drive via South Luzon Expressway, if you ever want to just breathe and escape from the harsh Manila setting . It’s most famous for its cool weather, scenery and its good view of the Taal Volcano.  You know, the island within a lake, within a volcano, within a lake, within an island. Whew.

I had the opportunity to spend a day in Tagaytay with RV Mitra, a famous portrait and wedding photographer, together with the media. He’s the newest WD Influencer.

The sun was shining so bright, with no trace of the heavy rain we experienced early in the morning during meet up and right before we take off for the long drive. Tagaytay was picturesque that day. There were so many blues. The sky is fluffy and white.

We rode a boat to traverse the lake and were whisked away by a horse uphill to one of the viewing decks of the volcano. Can’t say I didn’t enjoy the horse ride. Parang haciendera ang peg.

‘Twas beautiful up there!

Sir RV did’t waste any time teaching us the basics of lighting and techniques. He showed us the equipment that he uses on his shoots. *Drools*.

Part of the WD photowalk is to show thy madskillz in capturing portraits, so we took several shots to present later. (Whichever photo that Sir RV chooses,  the photographer gets to snag the 1TB and 2TB WD My Passport Wireless!). We got Kiara here to model for us.

The media took turns taking pictures of her posed in various spots and backgrounds.

Sir RV provided feedbacks on some of the shots and also showed his own.

During lunch, he also showed us some of his works, most are what I assumed are pre nuptial pictures. I’m officially a fan. Wedding photographers really have an eye on detail. They are also creative, seeing how Sir RV transformed normal scenery to photo-worthy moments.

Here in this picture, he showed us how shadows can liven up a picture.

The main star of the programme, the reason why we all gathered, is the WD My Passport Wireless. Now I know what I want for Christmas. Gahh! It’s an all around wireless device for all our gadgets. It can act as a Wi-Fi hub. Portable, so that’s a good thing for people whose lifestyle is always on the move.

I can already imagine how I’ll use this one. I’m a traveller and always the photographer whenever I’m with a  group — I find this wonderful and fitting for my lifestyle. WD My Passport Wireless make it seamless to back up or transfer photos and videos from SD card. I can just dump my photos on this babe and go on continue shooting when my SD space runs out.

And the feature I love the most is that it can stream the media wirelessly from the WD My Passport Wireless itself to other devices like our phone and tablets, TVs and consoles!

I want eeeeet!
