The Super Typhoon Parma (locally named Typhoon Pepeng) with winds gushing to over 241kph is set to hit the Philippines. Please be ready and take all necessary precautions.  CNN weather reports that it will hit many parts of Luzon including Metro Manila.

MANILA – Weather bureau PAGASA on Thursday said typhoon Pepeng (international codename Parma) is forecast to bring more rains and very strong winds in Northern Luzon including Metro Manila once it makes landfall Saturday afternoon.

The Government defines a super typhoon as one with winds reaching 175-200km/h and with the potential to cause heavy damage.

Typhoon Parma is expected to slam into the north of the Philippines’ Luzon island on Saturday afternoon.

Tropical storm Ketsana (locally Ondoy) recently dumped the heaviest rainfall in more than 40 years over Manila and surrounding areas, claiming the lives of at least 277 people and affecting more than 2.5 million others. Now they have another storm to look out for.

Prayers and positive thoughts to everyone…
