Summer Komikon 2012 is the hottest yet coolest Filipino comics convention in the country.
Come join the event on May 26, 2012 from 10am to 7pm at the Bayanihan Center, Pioneer St., Pasig City for this must-attend komiks events. As it is 2012, this year’s theme is “Wakasan”, which is a challenge against the end of the dying or dead comics industry. It’s time to pitch and breathe life to proudly-made Filipino comics. This fourth consecutive Summer Komikon is a spin-off from the longer running Annual Philippine Komiks Convention [Komikon] held every quarter of the year since 2005.
For a Php 100 entrance fee, fill all your comic cravings! Meet your favorite comic artists, grab the latest comic books, and challenge your art skills. Listen to the panel of the three special guests: Heubert Khan Michael of Unstopabble, Elmer Damaso of Cat’s Trail, and Freely Abrigo of Kulas. Find out who will triumph in our Comic Creation Contest, Cover Recreation Contest and the Flipreads-Komikon-24-hr-Komixathon as the winners will be awarded on stage.
