When In Manila, STYLE ISLE 2012 fast forwards summer as it showcases a fashion show the newest summer collection of swimwear and accessories made by Twinkle Ferraren and pole dancing performances from the country’s premiere pole dancing group, POLECATS Manila!
YES! How “sexy” can that be?
Swimwear fashion show and pole dancing in one show?
Well, I had to find it out for myself!
Style Isle 2012 Photowall
Upon registration, we were welcomed with freebies right away. All registrants were asked to pick a stub for a price. Freebies included were discount cards for Victoria Court, gift certificates from Curves, eco-friendly bags from Surfista Travels, etc. Food and drinks were also available as sponsored by Quantum Cafe.
The venue of Style Isle 2012 was at the Lightshop studio in Makati. The set gave me the “summer” feeling. With the simple set-up–2 poles, 3 small platforms, couches and chairs, some cocktail tables and a mini bar at the inner part of the studio, I was imagining how the flow of the fashion show would be.
The show started with the raffling of freebies again from some of the sponsors. Of course everyone was excited to be called. The host herself wore an original outfit designed by Ms. Twinkle Ferraren herself.
Opening performance by a representative from Planet Zips–the pioneer POI company in the Philippines that manufactures, distributes, teaches and promotes the beautiful art of Poi! This guy literally heated up the place!
Fire Poi Dancing
After the fire dancing immediately followed the most awaited part of the night! The fashion show of the summer swimwear collection of Ms. Twinkle Ferraren “wowed” the audience. I myself was speechless as the ramp models took over the entire place!

The POLECATS Manila performed right after. The warehouse continued to heat up as the ladies climbed up and down the poles! I have watched the POLECATS quite a few times already. I have also attended their pole dancing classes..BUT I still enjoy watching them perform. These POLECATS never fail to amaze their audience!
Also, performing solo was TOMCAT AJ Bautista, the only male pole dancer of the group. AJ Baustista recently bagged 2nd place at PPS Aerial Performance Tournament 2011 held in Hong Kong.

Polecats Manila also gave a performance with the song “Lady Marmalade”. Well, you can just imagine how sexy that is!
I am lucky to be able to witness STYLE ISLE 2012–made me feel summer is just around the corner. :) Style Isle 2012 showcased art through movement and style. Indeed something to be proud of!

Ms. Twinkle Ferraren
I had the chance to personally talk to Ms. Twinkle Ferraren herself. It took me time before I had the guts to come up to her and introduce myself; but it all paid off when I finally did it. :)
Ms. Twinkle Ferraren started her swimwear line way back 2005. After then she continued to show her collection during Philippine Fashion Week from year 2006 to 2009. She used knitted-pineapple fiber suits to give an organic touch to beachwear and accessories. Her hand painted swimwear collection has been featured in Freeway in 2009 and 2011.
And once again in collaboration with Freeway, Ms. Twinkle Ferraren’s Summer Swimwear Collection 2012 will be available for everyone. Except from some “hand woven items” which will be available at her showroom only.
