STRIKE: a Twin-bill Production Featuring Katre and Museong Kayumanggi
This March, Dulaang Laboratoryo presents “STRIKE”, a twin-bill production of Christian Tordecillas’ KATRE and Emmanuel Feliciano and Christian Dagsil’s Museong Kayumanggi.
KATRE is a story of a mother waiting for her husband and son recalling the past only through a series of faint memories and dreams as time passes, she tries to put the pieces of a seemingly eternal puzzle together. Will she find answers and finally reunite with her love ones.
Museong Kayummangi is a collection of vignettes exposing and perhaps criticizing the threads that make up the fabric of Filipino sensibilities. Told through different images and devices with some reference to George Wolfe’s Colored Museum, each vignette tackles a familiar cord.
Directed by Pancho Martes, “STRIKE” runs on March 13, 14, 15 and 16 at 7pm and March 15 & 16 at 3pm at the Teatro Heremogenes Ylagan (THY), Bulwagang Rizal, Faculty Center Bldg., University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City.
