The Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers – Cavite State University Student Chapter will be conducting its annual Industrial Engineering Week Celebration this coming February 23-24, 2017 at Cavite State University – Main Campus.
This year’s theme is STRATEGIES III: Strengthening Teamwork through Research and Academic Activities Transcending Excellence and Growth among Industrial Engineering Students – Year III.
PIIE – CvSU SC officers commented on the event, saying “The biggest event of the year returns: more fun yet more challenging. This would be indeed an experience beyond imagination.”
On the first day of the event, Engr. AbdulahIndardaya, PhD Industrial Engineering student from De La Salle University, would be discussing about “The Role of Ergonomics and Process Improvement in Service Organizations.”
The seminar would be succeeded by a Quiz Bee Competition, and Minute to Win It: PIIE – CvSU SC Edition where the contestants will exhibit their analytical methods in playing various games. This would be followed by the talent portion of the Mr. & Ms. IE 2017 pageant.
On the second day of the event, the coronation of the Mr. & Ms. IE 2017 pageant would take place to be followed by the Dance Competition which concept is to show the transition from the traditional folk dance to modern hiphop.
The last event for this celebration is the bar-themed IE Night where the Bb. IkatlongLahIE, a crossdress competition, would take place to raise awareness about Gender and Development. Also on this night, the winners of the different events would be awarded to rejoice the success of the celebration.
The IElympics, a sports competition would be held prior to the event. The winners of these competitions would also be announced during the IE Night.
