The Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers – Cavite State University Student Chapter will hold its annual IE Week Celebration on April 20-21, 2018: STRATEGIES 4.0 (Strengthening Teamwork through Research and Academic Activities Transcending Excellence and Growth among Industrial Engineering Students – Year 4).
This year’s theme is “Engineering the Leaders of the Future;” The event aims not only to establish camaraderie and teamwork among its members, but also to mold BS Industrial Engineering students to be tomorrow’s hope as leaders.
This two-day event is filled with exciting yet instructive activities that will surely leave an exhilarating feeling to all its attendees!
On the first day of the event, Engr. Philip P. Ermita, PIE, ASEAN Engr, the Dean of the College of Engineering from the University of Perpetual Help System – Calamba, will deliver an informative seminar that will strengthen the knowledge of BSIE students on their chosen field.
The seminar will be succeeded by the IE Unity Dance led by 4th-year students who will surely show the incomparable comradeship among PIIE – CVSU SC’s members. The analytical mind of BSIE students in playing various thrilling games will be showcased at the Minute to Win It: PIIE – CVSU SC Edition.
The lovely and handsome candidates of the Mr. and Ms. IE 2018 will then exhibit their exceptional talents on the Mr. and Ms. IE Talent Competition. This will be followed by one of the most awaited pageants of the year, the BEKIE Love 2018, a crossdress competition in support of raising awareness about the Gender and Development especially of our folks belonging to the LGBTQQIP2SAA++ Community.
On the second day of the event, the Coronation Day of Mr. and Ms. IE 2018 will take place where each candidate will unravel their remarkable wits and charm in order to successfully earn the prestigious titles.
This year’s IE Dance Competition, which will be held in between the Mr. and Ms. IE 2018 competition, will show a transition from ballroom to modern dance.
To end the whole IE Week 2018 celebration, a denim-themed IE Night will be conducted where the winners of the different events would be awarded to rejoice the success of the celebration.
Prior to the event, the IElympics, a sports competition among the five colors symbolizing STRATEGIES will be held together with the battles of the geniuses: the Quiz Bee and the Research Competition where BSIE students will answer difficult questions from GEAS and IE Majors, and present their informative researches in front of panels, respectively.
