It’s common to see Filipino celebrities following international ones on social media, but it’s rare that an international superstar would follow a local celebrity. But that’s what happened when Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors’ point guard for the NBA, followed Filipino actor Daniel Padilla on Twitter. We guess that’s the effect of the DJ. He’s so charismatic that even NBA players would follow him.
Padilla, a fan of NBA and basketball, broke the news when he tweeted ‘OMG.’ Since posting, the tweet has 7,047 retweets and 11,018 favorites. His on-screen partner Kathryn Bernardo teased him by calling him the luckiest fanboy.
Padilla has 4.03 million followers on Twitter.
