Looking for a Beach Resort in Palawan can be really expensive. Now that everyone is out for summer adventures, hotel rates are on all-time high, and it can be impossible to find a cheap place with an awesome view. Luckily, we looked hard enough and found Microtel Puerto Princesa.
Located at Emerald Playa Beach & Nature Park in Puerto Princesa, Microtel by Wyndhan is a 3-star Hotel which is nestled by the beach and is around 20-minutes away from the airport.
Microtel offers airport transfers, so you don’t have to worry about getting there if you’re flying in. And because it is a little far from the city, they have van services that goes from the hotel to the mall and back to the hotel the whole day. They also have tour packages to the Underground River, Honda Bay and the city, which will make your vacation easy and safe to plan.
The bedrooms are either facing the beach or the nature park, so you can always ask the front desk for your preferred room.
The rooms are spacious. And if you like staying indoors, it is equipped with wi-fi, cable television, hot and cold bath, personal fridge and in-room services from their restaurant.
The beach feel is all around the hotel; even in this reception area where guests can sit and read a book.
The outdoor area of Microtel is glorious! You can stay outside for the whole day and never want to leave.
It is lowtide when we went there so you need to walk a bit to reach the water. The beach is perfect for kiteboarding too, so if you are feeling a bit adventurous, you can try it there.
The restaurant is located at the side of the hotel. It is beside the pool area and overseeing the beach. They have awesome Filipino food, so don’t forget to try the bulalo and the sisig–all good for sharing!
Overall, Microtel Puerto Princesa will give you great value for money. It gives you a taste of the island life you want this summer while giving you the comforts of home in the hotel.
