Will Stars of “The Raid” be in the New Star Wars Movie?

Fans of “The Raid” and “Star Wars” will be delighted to hear the flying rumor that “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Director J.J. Abrams has tapped the lead stars of  the critically acclaimed Indonesian action flick “The Raid”: Iko Uwais (who plays hero cop, Rama in the film), Yayan Hurian (Mad Dog on The Raid 1 while Prakoso on The Raid 2) and Cecep Arif Rahman (credited only as The Assassin on Raid 2). There’s no concrete word if they’ll be playing roles in the movie yet or will just be doing stunt choreography work; but nonetheless, it is sure to still be awesome!

Will Stars of "The Raid" be in the New Star Wars Movie?

Remember when Star Wars creator George Lucas cast martial expert Ray Parks (G.I. JOE’s Snake Eyes and Toad in X-men 1) to play Darth Maul? That awesome lightsaber duel battle at the end of The Phantom Menace was one of the highlights of the film.

Well, Iko Uwais can be a good contender to play the Mandalorian bounty hunter, Boba Fett in future installments / spin-offs of the Star Wars universe films. Given he has the looks of a Pacific Islander (due to being a clone of Jango Fett, played by New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison), has a military background (already played a SWAT team member in films) and is a martial arts expert (particularly, Indonesian martial arts Pencak Silat). Just my two cents anyway.
