The new trailer to the Star Wars: The Last Jedi film has just been dropped revealing some interesting new things!And while the core cast of characters will all be back, there will be never-before-seen environments featured in the film too — including a brand new planet called Crait.
Crait was shown in a sneak peek in the newest trailer, as confirmed by director Rian Johnson to EW.
So what exactly is Crait?
According to Johnson:
“It’s way out there. It’s uncharted. It’s a mineral planet and so there are mines on it.”
According to the director, Crait will also play a key role in the movie and was once the location of a now-abandoned Rebel Alliance base.
